Consolidated Shipping Agencies Limited (CONSHIP) has presented assorted medical supplies and technological equipment to Half-Assini Government Hospital to support in delivering top-notch health care services.
The items include: 200 pieces of reusable gowns; 60 plaster roll six-inch easy care; 60 plaster roll four-inch easy Care; and 60 plaster roll three-inch easy care; as well as 1,000 singles of Canular All.
The rest are 500 pieces of surgical gloves 7.5 50’s ECPL; 1,000 syringes of easy-care disposable 2ml; 1,000 10 ml easy care disposable syringes; 240 singles of easy-care crepe bandage brown 6’; 200 singles of feeding tube CH/FR 18; as well as five packs of Omron Weighing Scale HN300T2 Intelli IT.
Mrs. Sabina Blay-Baissie, Human Resource Officer-CONSHIP, Takoradi Branch, said these products are essential for treatment and management of various medical conditions.
She mentioned that the presentation is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility under a donation drive.
“This is also in partnership with MIP Canada, Sankofa Project and ECEIZA S.A. – Spain, for effective and efficient health care delivery,” Mrs. Blay-Baissie added.
She said the company has over the years supported health and educational institutions across the country. “In the last two years, we have renovated St. Mark’s Anglican Basic School and JHS at Essikado in the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis of the Western Region.”
Dr. Frank Agbemordzi, Hospital Superintendent at the Half-Assini Gov’t Hospital who received the items, commended CONSHIP for the support. “This support is timely, and it falls in line with the hospital’s strategic goals for 2024 to advance health care delivery in the area.”
He appealed for other organisations operating in the region to support the hospital, since government alone cannot shoulder all the responsibilities.
