Ecobank rewards customers in 1st draw of EMG promo

Ecobank Ghana PLC has rewarded some 2,500 new and existing customers in its first draw of the Ecobank Million Geng promotion.

Prizes ranging from cash, airtime, gift and fuel vouchers were given to the lucky winners who participated in the promo at the bank’s branches across the country.

The first of many draws to come with the promo that ends in July saw 5 customers winning GH¢10,000 each, 10 people winning GH¢5,000 each and another set of 25 customers winning GH¢2,500. Additionally, over 2000 people won airtime, gift vouchers and fuel vouchers.



Speaking at the event held at the bank’s head office in Accra, Regina Ofori, Head-Digital Sales, Ecobank Ghana, noted that the the promo is a form of showing gratitude to customers for their loyalty.

Additionally, she said this gesture is the bank’s way of encouraging customers to cultivate the habit of savings.

“The promotion is basically to say ‘thank you’ to our customers. We have done this for three years running, and we do this every time before middle of the year to say ‘thank you’, because we know that around this time things are a bit hard.

“We also believe that it’s also a way of encouraging our customers to  cultivate the habit of savings – and that is why we are saying when you deposit the amount in your account, please let it stay for a minimum of seven days; so our customers get into the habit of saving and keeping money, because that’s the only way we can create wealth for ourselves and our customers as well,” she said on the draw event’s sidelines.

She also encouraged more people to participate in the promo to stand a chance of also winning prizes by the time it ends next month.

By end of the promotion, the bank will have rewarded over 7,000 of its new and old customers across the country.

The bank launched its deposit mobilisation campaign on May 8, 2024, aimed at rewarding and appreciating over 7,000 valued customers between May and July 2024.
