Families with father and child look-alikes are set for a fun-filled experience at Achimota Mall (ARC), as the Centre gets busy identifying some ‘chips off the old block’ for special treatment and reward on Father’s Day.
The hunt for ‘Father and Child Look-alikes’ is ARC’s prime episode for this year’s Father’s Day celebration, and is already in top gear as patrons began posting their entries last week. The Mall will continue to receive entries throughout the week until Thursday, June 13, management announced at the weekend.
ARC management says it launched the ‘Father and Child Look-alike’ campaign to celebrate the bond between fathers and their children by inviting them to showcase their resemblance in a fun and engaging fashion. The competitiveness of the episode helps to strengthen the relationship between fathers and their children, while it provides a memorable experience for all participants.
Five of the best entries to pull through will receive special gift items, have a shopping experience and dine in a food court restaurant of their choice, all by courtesy of ARC.
Marketing Manager, Mrs Linda Pappoe, told newsmen that ARC patrons and visiting families who participate in the fun contest simply have to share photos of themselves with their look-alike father…and caption the post with a three words which best describe their father.
“To participate, you must first follow Achimota Retail Centre on Facebook and Instagram. Then you post a picture of you and your father on your personal Instagram or Facebook, with a caption that best describes your dad,” Mrs Pappoe explained further, stressing that every post must tag @AchimotaRetailCentre and use the hashtag #AchimotaFathersDay.
Five entries with the most striking physical resemblance between father and child with captivating captions, that manage to attract the highest number of ‘likes’ on their posts will be declared winners. Winning entries will be announced on Friday June 14 and will receive their awards on Father’s Day.
Mrs Pappoe said ARC is offering the most enticing experience for this year’s Father’s Day celebration, as the Centre sets up for that congenial ambience which is best suited for every member of the family.
“There’s so much fun in the air at the centre and so much to give away; with soothing live-band music streaming through the food court and the walkways, and a professional Master of Ceremonies coordinating the variety of festive activities at the centre, ARC is, no doubt, the family’s ideal destination for this year’s Father’s Day celebration,” she said.
