The ASA Savings and Loans, a leading financial institution has donated ICT related equipment and learning materials to Ankwa Dobro M/A primary and KG school in the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipality.
The donation, among others, is geared towards improving education education in the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipality.
The items include 100pieces of ASA-branded exercise books, a high-resolution projector, a 43-inch LED television, and a multipurpose printer.
The Area Manager of ASA, David Amevor, speaking to the media following the handover of the items, emphasized ASA’s dedication to aiding government-run public schools in delivering quality education.
“We have done a lot as a responsible corporate body to give back to society, and we are here today after we realized this school has a lot of challenges,” he said.
Furthermore, the CSR and Sustainability Manager of ASA, Richard Nartey, stated that this initiative is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) and their commitment to achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG-4), ‘Quality Education.’

The Headteacher of the school, Madam Janet Kobuah Adjoah, expressed her gratitude for the timely donation, stating it will significantly advance the school’s digitalization agenda. “We want to express our utmost gratitude to management of ASA for this kind gesture and we hope more will follow in due time,” she said.
The School Improvement Support Officer (SISO) at the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipal Educational Directorate, Mr. Agyei Anthony Yeboah, highlighted the school’s challenges, including a student population of over 600 and inadequate space necessitating a shift system for effective teaching and learning.
He appealed to other benevolent individuals and institutions to assist in expanding the school’s infrastructure. “We extend our deepest gratitude to ASA management as this will help improve on digital literacy,” he added.
The branch manager of ASA Savings and Loans at Nsawam, Madam Comfort Tagoe, assured the school’s management that the company will continue to provide support as needed.
