Cassona Global Imaging Company Ltd., specializing in diagnostic imaging distribution has announced a strategic partnership with Medical Scientific Ltd., a supplier of various medical equipment systems and components, to make available mammogram machines to healthcare institutions at affordable rates.
This collaboration aims to leverage the competencies of both renowned organizations to supply state-of-the-art mammogram machines to healthcare institutions across the country.
Breast cancer is not just a disease but a battle that women face worldwide. In Ghana, just like many other developing nations, access to mammograms has been limited due to many constraints. However, due to the partnership, the barriers would be broken down to ensure that women regardless of social and economic background have access to crucial screening services.
Chief Executive Officer, Cassona Global Imaging, John Chigbu, stated that the decision to help health institutions, especially private ones in the country and the Sub-Sahara region to acquire this equipment is because of the critical role it plays in addressing breast cancer which is leading cause of death among women.
A mammography is a critical tool in the early detection of breast cancer, and with the increasing demand for advanced healthcare services, Cassona Global and Medical Scientific have joined forces to ensure that healthcare facilities across the country have access to this cutting-edge technology.
The CEO added that because these machines are expensive, the partnership will ensure that health facilities that cannot purchase the machines outright are offered an installment payment plan based on their preferred terms.
“We are excited to partner with Medical Scientific Ltd. to bring high-quality mammogram machines to healthcare institutions globally. By combining our expertise and resources, we aim to improve the early detection and treatment of breast cancer, ultimately saving lives,” he said.
On the other hand, the Project Manager of Medical Scientific, Stanley Sonkin, reiterated that the partnership is expected to streamline the supply chain of mammography equipment, making it more accessible to healthcare providers in need and both companies are committed to providing comprehensive support and training to ensure the successful implementation of these life-saving technologies.
“We are proud to announce our groundbreaking partnership with Cassona Global Ltd. in this important initiative. Together, we are embarking on a mission to provide affordable state-of-the-art mammograms for the women of Ghana. This partnership signifies our shared commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of women by promoting early detection and screening for breast cancer,” he said.
Mammograms are one of the most effective tools for breast cancer detection at its earliest and treatable stages and so, providing affordable mammograms and empowering healthcare professionals with these tools needed to provide accurate and timely diagnoses will go a long way to help in the fight against breast cancer.
The partnership will also tackle awareness creation and education to fight against breast cancer.
