Designique Company Limited, a forward-thinking event management organisation specialising in decorations and logistics, has beaten formidable competition to clinch the title of Best Corporate Event Planner at the recently concluded 2023 edition of the Ghana Events Industry Conference and Awards (GEIC).

The GEIC, organised by the Events Vendors Association of Ghana (EVAG), serves as a congregating point for industry stakeholders united under the overarching theme ‘Implementation and Adaptability’. The event is a nexus for collaboration, resource-sharing and the acknowledgement and promotion of high-level ethics within the events industry and management.

Upon accepting the award on behalf of Designique, Elijah Tweneboah, founder and Chief Executive Officer, stated that the accolade serves as a testament to the exceptional quality of work consistently produced by Designique. He attributed this success to nearly two decades of experience, an acute awareness of evolving tastes and preferences in the market, and the presence of a highly skilled team capable of executing diverse setups.

“We consider this recognition an honour and a deserved reward for the extensive work we have accomplished. With 19 years of experience, we have meticulously curated and managed a myriad of events ranging from corporate parties and product launches to engagements, weddings and lunches. Our bespoke designs are finely tuned to align with the unique requirements of each event, ensuring an unparalleled approach that truly stands out,” Mr. Tweneboah remarked.

“At Designique, we take pride in delivering a level of professionalism that encapsulates the essence of our clients’ visions. We aim to surpass expectations and achieve customer satisfaction. Our clientele is diverse, spanning various industries and showcasing the breadth of our expertise and adaptability. Geographical limitations do not hinder our services, as we cater to events across different locations,” he added.

While the precise value of the nation’s event-planning industry remains elusive, several analysts estimate it to be a robust, multibillion-dollar market. The event planner believes that factors such as the nation’s goodwill, relative peace and initiatives like the Year of Return could further enrich the market. He also underscored the pivotal role of technology in events management, drawing parallels with its transformative impact across various industries.

“The importance of technology in the event business cannot be overstated. We have witnessed technology driving growth in the financial space, education sector, commerce and industry, and this transformative potential can be replicated in the events industry,” he emphasised.
