Comedy Express, the premium household name for comedy in the country, has Ones again delivered a heartwarming experience, thrilling patrons beyond expectation.

The latest edition of the monthly comedy show dubbed “Cobra Edition” put together the best in that creative space to thrill fans with scintillating creations that left patrons laughing all night.

Popularly known as the headmaster of comedy, and the mastermind behind the Comedy Express, Derick Kobina Bonney, alias DKB, was put on the spot by the MC, Amma Serwaa to share a bitter personal experience he didn’t want to talk about, the unfortunate incident of slapping a lady during his stay at the Big Brother Africa (BBA) house and the consequences he faced after his exit.

DKB shared the sad ordeal he went through for about two years as almost all event organisers ignored him including family and friends leading to a struggle for even daily bread but thankfully the Lord remembered him and turned his story around.

Key highlights include the hilarious performance delivered by top artists including Comedian Waris, MJ the Comedian, Alowess, and Putogo. Not forgetting the diversity of AY Poyoo and Obaapa Gladys, the Cobra hitmaker brought onboard to get the audience on their feet dancing to the popular tunes.

Comedian Waris, got the audience cracking their ribs and laughing their heart out when he talked about the current trend of overtaken in relationships.

“Nowadays it’s unfortunate that guys are suffering to get a date. Can you imagine proposing to a girl and she will tell you that she is already in a relationship so you should wait in a queue when she breaks up with the current guy then you can take over but whilst waiting, someone more influential or having better financial status overtakes you to have an affair with the lady and go his way and you are still waiting in the queue. So pathetic,” he mocked.

MJ on his part could not hold back but used his dressing as a scenario to express how tailors or fashion designers always disappoint when they are usually the ones always promising to deliver on the last day.

Additionally, he described the annoyance experienced on the roads lately as a result of the unnecessary horning of commercial drivers, especially Taxi in search of passengers. He appealed for automobile manufacturers to connect the ability to horn with fuel consumption so that the more you horn the higher your fuel consumption level.

Putogo didn’t disappoint at all when he shared a hilarious joke about a boy suffering from crossed eyes or Strabismus (look me look London), the medical term for misaligned eyes but told his father that he wants to be a professional sniper.

Several others gave the audience resounding moments with comic creations including the story of the wicked Oral English woman during WASSCE.

Kumasi Uber drivers who always arrive at their destination with someone sitting in front of their car claimed to be a car owner among others were not left out

Obaapa Gladys, Madam Cobra suffered a technical hitch-up during her performance as the microphone and sound went off. It turned into an exciting moment as the audience started shouting…Cobra has arrived.

AY Poyoo with his backup dancers and his iconic goat called “Boy” also gave patrons a wonderful performance.

Legendary Highlife Musician, Cisza, known for the Mercy Lokko of Mataheko popular song was a surprise guest artist who took the audience back to the 90s and 2000s. Patrons could not hide their excitement at the end Programme and promised to be present at the next edition.
