In a swift response to an appeal for relief by Citi Fm an Accra based radio station, PayAngel Money transfer has responded with to the campaign by donating GH¢10,000.
As an organisation committed to impacting societies, the hardship faced by the affected communities require immediate alleviation. The spillage has resulted in destruction of properties and displacement of thousands of households in the Volta Region of Ghana.
Speaking on Citi Breakfast show, Business Development Manager Delali Kotoka, reiterated our commitment to provide further support beyond the initial amount donated. “PayAngel won the Innovation in Payment Remittance Social Impact Award 2022 in UK with the support we provide to local communities in Ghana, therefore our swift response to this appeal resonates with our brand’s corporate social responsibility.”
The donation was received on behalf of Citi Fm by CEO Samuel Attah-Mensah. PayAngel has since launched a direct relief donation channel through their Direct to Merchant Remittance (D2MR) platform for donors in the UK, Canada, Australia and Europe to donate to the AngelCare Direct Relief for Akosombo using the PayAngel App available to download on Appstore and Playstore.
