In recognition of World Mental Health Day – October 10, 2023, Orado, known for being a fun and friendly brand, took the opportunity to celebrate this significant day with the dedicated Mental Health Department at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

The focus of this celebration was to express appreciation for the healthcare heroes who work tirelessly in this vital field. The event was marked by warm welcomes and open arms as Dr. Seth Asafo, Dr. Dela Fiagbe, Dr. Wilma Keteku-Atiemo, and the entire department staff received Orado’s heartfelt gesture: a massage gift voucher as a token of gratitude.

Orado firmly believes that everyone deserves a moment of relaxation, and healthcare workers in particular deserve to be pampered and recognised for their unwavering dedication to their work. Regular massages play a crucial role in supporting mental health. They promote relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, and uplift one’s overall mood.

Furthermore, massage therapy releases endorphins, the natural mood-boosting chemicals in our bodies. Therefore, integrating massages into our self-care routine can significantly enhance our mental well-being, providing moments of tranquility and rejuvenation.

Orado’s CEO, Bernice Okyere Baidoo, who personally led this heartwarming initiative, emphasised the invaluable role that mental health workers play in supporting individuals’ mental well-being and delivering essential care. She stated: “Mental health workers are truly incredible! Their compassion and dedication make a significant impact on the lives of many. Let’s continue to appreciate and support these heroes for their vital contributions”.

Baidoo further extended her advice to the public, urging them to prioritise self-care and wellness. She underlined the importance of wellness in maintaining a healthy and balanced life, highlighting the numerous benefits it can offer, such as increased energy, improved mental health, reduced stress, and overall well-being. Investing in self-care and making choices that promote physical, mental and emotional health are essential for leading a fulfilling life.

Orado expresses heartfelt gratitude to Zen Riders – led by the ‘Mental Catalyst’ Michael Amankwa, CEO of Knoxxi Limited – for their valuable support in making this event a reality.
