With 2023 marking the 20th editions of the Ashanti Business Excellence Awards Scheme and the Ashanti Financial Services Excellence Awards Scheme, the two awards ceremonies which are normally organised separately have been scheduled to take place jointly on Friday, October 27 at the Lancaster Kumasi City Hotel.

The complementary 9th Ashanti Business Leaders Excellence Awards Ceremony will be held simultaneously.

Organised by Top Brass Ghana, the Ashanti Business Excellence Awards Scheme and Ashanti Financial Services Excellence Awards Scheme were originally instituted under the auspices of Manhyia Palace in 2004 – in commemoration of the 5th anniversary of Otumfuo’s enstoolment and within the context of Otumfuo the Asantehene’s progressive agenda for the economic development of Ashanti, and of Ghana for that matter.

The Ashanti Business Leaders Excellence Awards Scheme, on the other hand, was established in 2015.

According to Isaac Dakwa, Director-Top Brass Ghana, the three development-oriented Ashanti excellence awards schemes have the common objective of honouring business and finance houses as well as captains of business and finance who are deemed to have made outstanding contributions to the economic development of Ashanti.

All concerned will be privileged to have Otumfuo or his High Representative grace the occasion as Special Guest of Honour, with Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister, as the Guest of Honour, while Prof. Nana Osei-Wusu Achaw, Vice-Chancellor of Kumasi Technical University, will preside over the awards ceremony as Chairman.
