Mr. Kofi Adomakoh, GCB Bank MD, has paid a courtesy call to the Tamale Mayor and Regional Minister as part of his visit to the Northern Region. The MD was in Tamale to partake in the health walk and medical screening organized by the Bank in commemoration of its 70th anniversary.
The Metropolitan Chief Executive for Tamale, Mr. Sule Salifu, hosted MD and his team in a roundtable meeting to discuss, among other things, the reason for his presence in Tamale. The mayor welcomed the team while showing appreciation for the bank’s efforts in the region with regards to branch network and penetration. He reiterated the importance of the newly opened UDS branch and encouraged the team to continue in their efforts to bring banking to the unbanked.
Mr. Adomakoh reiterated the bank’s commitment to the development of the communities in which it does business and as such, engaged the mayor on the assembly’s pain points to proffer solutions to further advance its development.
Following the visit to the mayor, the MD and his team stopped by the office of the Tamale Regional Minister, Alhaji Shani Alhassan Shaibu, to formally announce his presence in Tamale and inform him of the bank’s planned activities for the weekend. The Regional Minister, after his welcome address, commended the team for their visit and acknowledged GCB Bank’s contributions to educational development in the region. He spoke on some of the challenges affecting the region and entreated the bank to factor them in their CSR activities for the area. The MD thanked him for his hospitality and invited him to join the health walk and medical screening.
