StarLife’s Lawrence Daniels heads African Association of Young Insurance Professionals

Lawrence Daniels, a Group Business Supervisor at StarLife Assurance, has been appointed as Country Director of the Ghana Chapter of the African Association of Young Insurance Professionals (YIPs Africa). YIPs Africa is a member of the African Insurance Organisation (AIO) and serves as the youth-wing of AIO.

This association is dedicated to promoting talented young professionals in the insurance industry across Africa, providing them with a platform for education, networking and opportunity to develop their skills.

Mr. Daniels is currently Public Relations Officer (PRO), Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG). With 11 years’ experience as a life and health insurance specialist, Mr. Daniels holds a BA in History and Religion & Human Values from the University of Cape Coast, a Diploma in Insurance and Advanced Diploma in Life and Health Insurance from the Ghana Insurance College in 2019, and a Certificate in Marketing from the University of Pennsylvania.



Established in 2022, the African Association of Young Insurance Professionals is led by its President, Tobi Osanaiye, from Nigeria; and Secretary-General, Mubarak Ibrahim, from Ghana.

The association strives to become the premier organisation for developing young insurance professionals, by providing access to educational and networking opportunities to support the growth of Africa’s insurance industry.
