- Rewards clients in first CHINT promo
Process and Plant Automation (PPA) Limited has joined forces with CHINT Global, a leading smart energy solutions provider, to promote responsible and quality use of smart technology products across industries and homes.
Under the partnership, PPA – a subsidiary of The Automation Ghana Group (TAGG), a wholly Ghanaian-owned market leader in electrical and automation services and products dealership – is collaborating with CHINT as sole distributor: to ensure the adoption of smart technologies and that the public are using products which are not only reliable but also enhance their lives.
This year, Ghana became the ninth country accredited to participate in the ‘CHINT Cool’ promotion, which is the second edition of a global promo aimed at raising awareness about potential privacy and security risks; empowering users to make informed decisions when integrating smart technology into their daily lives, and rewarding clients as a motivation to use quality.
Process and Plant Automation has been a leading supplier of test tools; installing electrical components; training; and electrical panel-building in the country over the past several years.
The nation’s premier CHINT Cool promo – worth about US$3,000 – was executed in three main components: training for electrical contractors across the country; use of quality products for sales events; and the customer loyalty reward exercise.
To climax the country’s first edition of the promo at the PPA head office in Spintex-Accra, about US$2,000 in cash prizes were given to clients and agents of PPA who purchased and used CHINT products during the promotion period.
CHINT Ghana Business Development Manager, Kingsley Letsa, mentioned that CHINT Global believes in the power of collaboration to drive innovation and improve the quality of smart technology solutions. He added that the company actively engages in partnerships and alliances with technology leaders, industry experts and regulatory bodies – to foster knowledge-sharing and collective efforts in addressing challenges and advancing the adoption of quality smart technology.
“CHINT Global is a prominent provider of smart technology solutions, offering a range of innovative products and services. We are committed to promoting quality smart technology usage that truly adds value and enhances the lives of users. By advocating for quality standards, educating consumers and fostering collaboration, we aim to create a more reliable and secure environment for the ever-growing smart technology industry,” he said.
He added that CHINT is known for all the best new smart electrical technology types of equipment from low- to medium- and high-voltage products. “In Ghana, we mostly deal in the low voltage products such as change-overs, sockets and switches, LED lights and distribution boards, among other electrical installations.”
Commenting, Chief Sales Officer-PPA, Ekua Adams, stated that PPA is excited to partner with CHINT Global in strengthening its commitment to skills training, usage of quality electrical installations and rewarding loyal clients.
“We are glad that we have been able to reward businesses that are patronising our products as a wholly Ghanaian-owned entity championing transformation in this space. This promo is also about trying to promote locals in the industry in order to grow their business,” she said.
The CHINT Cool season-two promo rewarded 10 lucky clients of TAGG who participated in the promo and accumulated points based on purchases. The highest winner grabbed US$1,000 while the 10th-place winner grabbed US$40.
The ultimate winner, Kofi Wodadji – an electrician from Afienya in the Greater Accra Region, walked away with a US$1,000 cash prize. The second and third places went to Oko Kofi Mensah and Samuel Asmah, who received US$300 and US$200 respectively.
Madam Adams mentioned that to ensure transparency, the promotion was run online through a digital platform which accessed and generated the winners automatically based on set parameters. “The process helped to create email accounts for those clients who hitherto did not have any, and assist them to be enabled in shopping online as global trade is going digital.”
National Vice-President of the Certified Electrical Wiring Professionals Association of Ghana (CEWPAG), Samuel Nii Takyi, urged electricians and power sector workers to buy quality CHINT products from PPA for quality.
PPA provides industrial electrical tools, projects, cables, smart homes, smart street lighting, electrical panel building, solar farm projects and world-class after-sales services. As an indigenous business and a market leader, the brand has been at the forefront of training graduates in the electrical engineering field while forming partnerships with world-class global brands.
