Euracare Hospital Ghana, a leading healthcare facility committed to delivering exceptional medical services, has won 3 distinguished awards at the second edition of the Ghana Medical Diagnostic Excellence Awards. Euracare Ghana was adjudged the Best Cardio Imaging Centre, Best Laboratory Technology Centre, and Euracare Ghana’s Dr. Benjamin Sarkodie was recognised as the Best Interventional Radiologist of the Year. The awards ceremony was held on 12th August, 2023 at the African Regent Hotel in Accra.

These successes also underscore Euracare’s commitment to delivering precise treatments through minimally invasive procedures, leveraging advanced medical expertise and cutting-edge imaging technologies.
The Ghana Medical Diagnostic Excellence Awards is an awards scheme organized by Africmedia Galaxy that seeks to celebrate individuals and institutions that have distinguished themselves in the health sector, specialising in providing specific diagnostic solutions.
Upon being presented with the awards, Dr. Benjamin Sarkodie expressed his thankfulness to the organisers for the recognition. He took a moment to appreciate his colleagues, specifically mentioning Dr. Harold Ayetey, along with the cardio imaging team – led by Biju Raj and the clinical laboratory – managed by Domic Kodua.
Dr. Benjamin Dabo Sarkodie is Euracare Ghana’s Medical Director, Endovascular and Interventional Radiologist.
A Ghanaian national, Dr. Sarkodie holds the distinction of being the first certified Interventional Radiologist in Ghana. In addition to completing a Visiting Fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in the US, he completed a Clinical Fellowship in Endovascular and Interventional Radiology at the Singapore General Hospital.
A Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons as well as a senior lecturer at the University of Ghana School of Medicine and Dentistry, in 2014 he was the recipient of the international scholar award programme of the Society of Interventional Radiology.
