Eusbett Hotel has been upgraded to four-star status after the facility passed all tests from the Quality Assurance and Inspectorate Unit of the Ghana Tourism Authority
This makes Eusbett Hotel the second 4 Star hotel in the middle and northern belts of Ghana, coming along with the Lancaster Kumasi City Hotel, formerly Golden Tulip Kumasi City in the Ashani Region.
Eusbett Hotel was upgraded in March 2023 after the GTA conducted a two-day Evaluation and Assessment of the facilities and services at the Sunyani-based hotel.
Eusbett Hotel, according to an evaluation report sighted by Business & Financial Times, has the capability of creating a distinctive image in the hospitality industry; and therefore has been encouraged to maintain outstanding quality standards that may exceed the expectations of guests.
From a small and humble beginning, Eusbett Hotel has established itself as the most sought-after hotel in the Brong Ahafo Region and in Ghana at large, which is evident by the numerous awards the hotel has won and its long list of satisfied clients.
The peaceful surroundings within which the hotel is strategically situated at Sunyani creates that serene and secure environment for all guests to conduct their business and leisure activities in peace and quiet.
Eusbett Hotel is a wholly Ghanaian-owned company and was incorporated in 1998. The facility commenced business in October 1998 under the Companies Code of Ghana, 1963 (Act 179). The hotel has quickly established itself as one of the finest in the country for both business and leisure clients.
Eusbett Hotel is delightfully located in the serene environment of Sunyani, the Bono Regional capital, and offers all the comforts of a modern first-class international hotel and conference centre.
Currently, Eusbett Hotel employs over a hundred and fifty employees. Run by a team made up of a perfect blend of young and experienced professionals, the hotel has carved a niche for modern hospitality facilities and excellent customer service.
The hotel has now developed from 16-guest rooms to a 200-guest room hospitality facility.
Eusbett Hotel now boasts an excellent mix of facilities for both the business and leisure client including Ghana’s second International Conference Centre with 10 conference halls (with the biggest having a seating capacity for 150 persons), a clinic, cinema, business centre, two kitchens, two restaurants, Sports Centre/Gym, Cosmetology Centre and Travel and Tour services.
The opening of Eusbett International Conference Centre (EICC) has helped fill a critical vacuum in the hospitality industry of Ghana. Hitherto, no hotel in Ghana could host a conference of 2,000 participants in a single meeting room. This resulted in conference organisers resorting to auditoriums of schools and universities for their big programmes such as annual general meetings.
Others had to rely only on the Accra International Conference Centre, which meant other regions were left out in holding huge-number conferences.
The success story of Eusbett Hotel was acknowledged by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) when the GIPC invited its General Manager, Robert Mensah, as speaker during the ‘Invest in Ghana Seminars’ to share the experiences of an indigenous company with potential investors.
At the time in his early twenties, the General Manager was the youngest person to have been a speaker at the annual event of GIPC.
The hotel is probably the ‘greenest’ hotel in Ghana. It runs on a 300kw solar power system, makes use of biogas digesters and relies 98% on LED lighting. In an effort to provide the healthiest food to its clients, Eusbett Hotel runs an organic greenhouse farm for its vegetables and also operates a cattle ranch (with about 200 herds) which feeds the hotel, hence its competitive rates.
The high level of standards in the delivery of first-class hospitality services has earned the hotel several awards. Eusbett Hotel has developed into a household name in the hospitality industry of Ghana, winning notable national and international awards in the industry.
Eusbett Hotel has obviously lived up to the dream of its owners, stating the case for how successful indigenous businesses established outside the capital city can be. The success story of Eusbett Hotel is expected to increase the interest of investors to establish in other parts of the country outside the capital.
Eusbett Hotel is run by a blend of young and highly experienced team members. The hotel was founded by Sir Sam Bennett (knighted by the Pope), an indigene of the Bono Area.
