International aid agencies, business associations and government agencies such as the Japan International Cooperation Agency, JICA, the Association of Ghana Industries, AGI, Environmental Protection Agency, EPA and other government agencies have confirmed their attendance for the 10th edition of the National Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability Conference 2023 taking place tomorrow Tuesday 25th July, 2023 at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
The Conference Coordinator, Ms. Sefiamor Baah revealed: “Many leading socially-responsible and sustainability-conscious brands and companies are attending the 2023 National Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Conference. It is impressive and encouraging to know that many companies are taking sustainability issues seriously.”
Pricewaterhousecoopers Ghana (PwC), GOIL, RYTHM Foundation, World Vision, VIVO Energy, Republic Bank, Societe Generale, CAL bank, Promasidor, SIC Insurance, Blay & Associates, Coca Cola, Riepco, Dutch and Co, Imperial Insurance and many others will attend.
The Chief Representative of JICA Ghana, Ms. Suzuki will speak on JICA’s support for the private sector in Ghana. JICA’s extensive interventions in Ghana cut across many sectors including, health, education, private sector development, infrastructure, tourism and volunteerism. JICA’s mission is to promote sustainable socio-economic development and poverty reduction through the implementation of various development projects and programs. JICA Ghana provides technical assistance, financial support, and capacity-building to the Ghanaian government and private sector in several key areas.
The Environmental Protection Agency’s Executive Director, Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu will speak on the Agency’s sustainability expectations for the private sector, while enumerating the key functions of the organization and how companies can comply with international best practices.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Ghana Industries, AGI will speak about the Association’s efforts at creating awareness on sustainability and how it is empowering its members and the business community in Ghana to embrace sustainable practices.
