Access Bank Ghana bagged two awards from four nominations at the 5th edition of the Health, Environment, Safety, and Security (HESS) Awards dinner at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra last Friday. The Bank emerged as the Best Company in Employee Safety Security Management and the Best Company in Data Security Management Practices.
The awards were in recognition of the Bank’s ability and efforts in preventing and controlling workplace hazards such as training staff on safety procedures and practices, effective sensitization of employees on health and safety, and data security management.
Commenting on the awards, Managing Director of Access Bank Ghana, Olumide Olatunji, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to organizers for the meticulous processes in nominating awardees and for acknowledging the efforts of Access Bank in promoting security, employee protection, and data security management.
“The investment we make in ensuring staff health and safety has paid off. We will continue to ensure that our employees’ health and safety remain paramount. We will continuously invest in new technologies that will help us offer speed, exceptional services, and importantly, security on our customer’s transactions.”
Olumide also commended staff for their commitment to the health and safety guidelines of the bank and urged them to not just comply but make it a standard.
The HESS awards scheme is designed to publicly recognize and celebrate companies for their outstanding performance and innovations in the areas of Occupational Health, Safety, Security, and the Environment. These awards go a long way to laud the strategic vision of the bank in becoming the world’s most respected African bank whilst demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and commitment to providing safety and security to employees and customers.
