Honorary Consuls visit Asantehene

A delegation of eminent honorary consuls who recently attended the FICAC Pan African Conference for Honorary Consuls have paid a courtesy call on Otumfo Osei Tutu II. The visit took place on Monday 29th May 2023, and was to inform the Asantehene of the Conference and celebrate the esteemed monarch’s achievements.

The distinguished delegation consisted of the President Nikolaos Margaropoulos, Vice-President Asif Chowdhury and Secretary-General Purrshottam Bhaggeria of the World Federation of Consuls (FICAC).  Also in the delegation were members of the Honorary Consular Corps Ghana (HCCGH), including its Dean, Dimitrios Avraam; Deputy-Dean, Subhi Accad; and General-Secretary, Kwame Acquah.

The delegation used the opportunity to honour Otumfuo Osei Tutu II with a citation. The citation recognised his exemplary leadership, commitment to his people, and unwavering dedication to promoting peace, unity and development within his kingdom and beyond.



The Congress of the World Federation of Consuls (FICAC) is a global network of Consular Associations created to support and improve the status, legitimacy and effectiveness of all consular officers.
