Siemens, a German multinational conglomerate and one of the largest industrial manufacturing companies in Europe, has officially announced Process and Plant Automation (PPA) as its country sales solution partner.
The partnership will, among other things, help Ghanaians procure quality Siemens products, enhance the provision of easy after-sales services to customers, and enhance the brand’s identity in the country.
PPA, which is a subsidiary of The Automation Ghana Group (TAGG), was selected after full compliance, marketing, sales and technical competence evaluation analysis was conducted. It was chosen out of seven other Ghanaian firms.
Head of Partner Management, Siemens Proprietary Limited Digital Industries, Andre Brits, stressed that Siemens accredited partners have a huge advantage as they become part of the Siemens family and have access to global sales, marketing, technical and management support.
“Siemens South Africa is proud to announce this partnership with PPA as they have demonstrated market consistency, have sound business frameworks in place, and are aligned with Siemens’ vision for joint growth and mutual benefit.
“Skills development and training are high on the agenda of the Siemens partner programme. Partners have access to a global partner portal, where an array of sales material and training is available for continuous development of skills that are needed for today’s demanding industry and to be empowered with the right tools in the engineering environment,” he said.
He added that going forward, the partnership arrangement with PPA will be the blueprint for digital industries partnerships in the sub-Saharan region.
Chief Executive Officer of PPA, Kweku Asmah, on his part, mentioned that as the largest locally-owned electrical engineering and automation company, delivery of excellent sales and after-sales support services remain a hallmark and that this partnership will further strengthen and consolidate the brand’s position to serve industries in Ghana efficiently with top quality equipment and expertise.
“As an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, our priority is to provide our clients with excellent customer support. Being accredited as a Siemens Solution partner is a huge milestone for PPA. Siemens is a world-renowned brand known for its quality and reliability, and we are proud to be affiliated with such a prestigious organisation. Together, we will tackle and support local and multinational industries and projects with the best electrical engineering and automation solutions while providing impeccable customer service.
“For the past 20 years, Process and Plant Automation Limited has delivered numerous electrical engineering and automation solutions for local and multinational clients. Some of these include; Unilever, Nestle, Wilmar, Newmont, AngloGold, Vodafone, and Tullow Oil. Our team of highly experienced engineers is well-trained and equipped to deliver customer requirements and uphold international standards on all our projects,” he said.
The management of Siemens emphasised that there will be regular strategic meetings between the parties to discuss advances in technology, new business models and the best ways to satisfy the customer.
Country Manager, Siemens Ghana, Kofi Oppong, highlighted that there are instances where people bought electrical products from Siemens on the market only to realise the products are fake, hence, the partnership will provide customers with a one-stop shop for quality Siemens products.
