Star Assurance Company Ltd., one of Ghana’s leading insurance providers, has partnered Zoomlion, Ghana Private Road and Transport Union (GPRTU), and the New Juaben Traditional Council to organise a clean-up exercise at the main lorry terminals at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the clean-up exercise, Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of Star Assurance, Justice Frank Offei, said the clean-up exercise reflects the company’s vision of being a solid partner to the needs of its partners.
The Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional Area, Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III, who participated fully in the clean-up exercise, commended Star Assurance for the intervention. He then urged his subjects to make cleaning an integral part of their daily lives so Koforidua will become clean at all times.
He further encouraged other chiefs and people to also indulge in such exercises to keep the environment clean, adding that it is the duty of all citizens to make sure the towns and cities are clean and stop waiting on government to always take these initiatives.
Drivers at the lorry terminals were educated on road safety and insurance tips as well as various motor insurance packages by Star Assurance.
