Zonda Tec Ghana Limited has opened a new branch at Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, in line with its aim of becoming the largest commercial heavy- and light-duty vehicle supplier in the West African sub-region.

The branch, second in the Ashanti Region, is located on the Kumasi to Obuasi stretch at Sabin Akrofuom in the Atwima Kwanwoma Municipality and will serve customers within the Amansie, Adansi, Obuasi Municipalities and neighbouring communities.

Managing Director-Zonda Tec Ghana Limited, Yang Yang, speaking at the inauguration ceremony indicated that the birth of a second branch in the region is to meet the growing population of the company’s customer base, and to bring to their doorsteps the best affordable heavy- and light-duty vehicles, machines, spare-parts and services.

She further added that Zonda Tec Ghana Limited is not only in the industry to sell to customers, but also to create employment for Ghanaians. “You will notice that the branch is staffed 90 percent by locals, because we feel they will have more understanding of your needs.

“Today, this branch has become one in a chain all over the country, ready to serve you with several auto brands and products ranging from tipper-trucks, trailer-heads, cargo trucks, semi-trailers, oil tankers of various capacities, water tankers, flatbeds, low beds, concrete mixer trucks, graders, wheel loaders, bulldozers, rollers, excavators, pick-ups, SUVs and relevant spare-parts. Our partner companies and brands include: Sinotruk, Liugong, Shantui, Dongfeng, Great Wall, Haval and Forland,” she added.

The newly opened Obuasi branch manager, Enock Osei Tutu, reiterated that setting up the new edifice is to meet demand from mining companies and other stakeholders for quality goods and services; including swift after sales service, which is the hallmark of Zonda Tec.

Mr. Osei Tutu further assured existing customers and prospective ones of Zonda Tec’s commitment to meeting their needs.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, in a speech read on his behalf said government remains committed to instituting appropriate policies, efficient and fair rules to create a regulatory environment that enables all businesses to contribute to economic transformation.

A representative from the chief of Sabin Akrofuom, Nana Mensah Bonsu, advised staff of the new branch to eschew unprofessional activities and behaviour which have the potential to affect the company’s growth.

“We pray that Zonda Tec Ghana Limited will become the largest supplier of vehicles – not only in Ghana, but the whole of West Africa at large. This would go a long way to improve the socio-economic living standards of the people within Sabin Akrofuom, Asanteman and Ghana as a whole. I call on all workers here to work assiduously and diligently to uplift this company and ensure that it reaches the goals it has set for itself. I want all workers to assist the management of this company to thrive, so that a lot of youth in the community can also get jobs,” he noted.
