Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, has introduced its agency banking initiative dubbed “GTExpress” as part of efforts to establish brand presence and bring convenient banking to the doorsteps of its customers and the public.
GTExpress is designed to offer GTBank account holders the convenience of conducting banking services at partner well established retail outlets or businesses in their communities without having to visit any banking hall. Services available under this service includes withdrawals, deposits, own and third party bank transfers and utility bill payments among others.
Head of Digital Banking in charge of GTExpress, Kenneth Ometha reiterated GTBank’s resolve to provide convenience to the Bank’s customers. “As a customer-focused bank with key focus on our Retail segment, we are partnering with businesses within various communities to act as the Bank’s agencies and offer customers access to everyday banking services without them having to visit the banking hall.”
Mr. Ometha continued that, “This is also our way of reducing the number of unbanked people in Ghana. Anyone who does not have an account with GTBank can simply visit any GTExpress location with a valid national identification card to open an account and enjoy the very best of services.”
The GTExpress Agency Banking service is a complement to GTBank’s plethora of innovative and convenient products and services which offer real time solutions to customers’ needs including its USSD platform *737#, online payment platform Myghpay and the official app, GTWorld Ghana.
