Olam Ghana, a leading agribusiness and supply chain manager, has been named Top Employer in Ghana and Africa for the third consecutive year by the Top Employer Institute, the global HR authority on certification for excellence in employee conditions and people practices.

The Top Employer Institute programme certifies organisations based on the participation and results of their HR Best Practice Survey. This survey covers six HR domains consisting of 20 categories – including people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, diversity & inclusion, employee well-being and more. The programme has certified and recognised over 2052 Top Employers globally in 121 countries/regions across five continents.

This is Olam Ghana’s third Top Employer certification in a row, attesting to the company’s impressive track record of ensuring the best HR policies and people practices across all business locations.

Olam in Ghana has initiated policies and innovations at the workplace over the years to promote and protect employee well-being. These include extending the maternity policy to both female and male employees and introducing the Workforce Nutrition (WFN) Programme to promote healthy living within the workplace.

The company’s national head of HR, Stephen Takyi Adeakye, commenting on the recognition said: ” It is notable that this is the third time in a row we have been named Top Employer in Ghana and Africa.  The recognition clearly represents consistency and growth. Over the years, we have put in systems to ensure the best outcomes in HR and people practices within all our business locations, to ensure that our employees are as comfortable as possible and always protected.

“We want to thank the HR team and entire staff of Olam for their support, hard work and dedication to workplace engagement and the general well-being of employees,” he added.
