The Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen has resigned from his position.
Media sources disclosed that he tendered his resignation letter to President Nana Akufo-Addo on Thursday, January 5, 2023.
It is unclear why the Minister resigned after serving in the portfolio since 2017 but many believes his presidential ambition might have triggered the decision.
Mr. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, 67, made his first attempt to lead the New Patriotic Party as its flagbearer in 2007 but failed in his bid as the current president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo emerged as the winner.
