As a member of a team on a working visit to the Cocoa Research Institute, Akyem-Tafo, I was performing my duty as a journalist during the conference session when a board member of the World Shea Expo (WSE) organizing committee, handed over her phone to me for assistance with some pictures.
Immediately I took hold of the phone, I realized an extra sense of responsibility and caution to handle the phone with extra care to prevent it from falling or hitting any object that could damage it because of the prestige my subconscious mind immediately attached to the phone.
My curiosity to know the exact model of the phone was very high and more so, because of the quality of the pictures I was getting compared to the acclaimed superior another brand phone I had.
From a layman’s perspective, I saw a phone that is very beautiful, sexy, and cute for pocket size yet a huge screen size for visualisation.
I didn’t just take ‘too much’ pictures but I enjoyed every minute a spent with the phone right from the conference to the field tour. The quality in terms of clarity and sharpness was so on-point that the print and online colleague journalists asked that I shared it to be used for their publications.
At the end of the day, the board executive said: “Friend from the media, I can see you are in love with my phone, right? It is Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4. It is a very durable and affordable luxury; I hope you can acquire one soon to enjoy it. Kind courtesy this phone my son now calls me Mama Selfie.”
On our way back to Accra, I started reading about the phone as mentioned by the woman to satisfy my curiosity and I found more interesting things about the features of the phone than I can imagine.

Why it is ladies’ phone
I can describe this phone as a ladies’ phone because it comes with features very user-friendly to the female gender. My observations show that women handle flip phones with some swag better than men do and so this phone provide them that opportunity to swag up more when stepping out at a party or social gathering.
With a higher love for selfies and pictures, ladies stand a higher chance of enjoying the camera more than guys. Capitalizing more on the improved pixels, sharpness, and clarity of images to trend poses on social media handles without hiring a professional photographer.
