President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has terminated the appointment of the Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Charles Adu Boahen, with immediate effect.
This is after being made aware of the allegations leveled against the Minister in the exposé, “Galamsey Economy,” by the investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
According to a statement signed by the Director of Communications, Eugene Arhen, the President spoke to Mr. Adu Boahen, after which he decided to terminate his appointment.
Meanwhile, the issue has been referred to the Special Prosecutor for further investigation.
