Martin King Arthur is a young multi-talented Ghanaian musician popularly known in entertainment circles as Kofi Kinaata. He attended Nana Brempong Yaw School in Takoradi and completed his studies in Takoradi Technical Institute.
In 2009, he entered the Melody FM rap competition and emerged as the second runner-up. After the competition, his fans kept demanding for more so he entered the studio to record his first song.
Then after, he started recording more good music and has never looked back, and it has been one hit after the other. He broke out as a mainstream artiste and was known nationwide after he was featured in the High-life hit single ‘Odo Pa’ by Castro and Asamoah Gyan.
Samini signed Kofi Kinaata unto the Samini Music/ High Grade Family record label in 2013, but he left the label in 2018 after his 5-year contract with the management ended. He’s currently an independent artiste with ‘Team Move Music’.
He is noted for his lyrical dexterity in terms of unique rhyme schemes, rap and motivational singing style with a touch of traditional African proverbs in his local Fante language to entertain and educate morally.
Kinaata has been around for a while in the industry, and has won the hearts of most people because his fan-base cuts across all ages from the young to the old. He has also released a lot of hit singles, and has over 40 awards to his credit.
Kofi Kinaata, for the fourth time, has won the Songwriter of the Year award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) ceremony, making him the only Ghanaian musician with that record.
He first took home the Songwriter award in 2016 with the song ‘Susuka’; secondly, with ‘Confession’ in 2017; thirdly, with ‘Things Fall Apart’ in 2020; and then with ‘Behind The Scenes’ in 2021.
Kofi believes in giving back to the community using his gift. He has been hosting an annual Christmas event in Takoradi called ‘Made in Taadi Concert’ since 2017, and it is now the biggest event in the Western Region with a huge number of fans attending every year.
He has also embarked on numerous humanitarian projects with the Ghana Government and international agencies like UN-IOM, USAID, MOFAG, GEPA, SFMP, EU, GIZ, GNPC and Ghana COCOBOD, using educative and entertaining songs like;

He won the ‘Vodafone Green Award’ for using his craft to drive environmental awareness and sustainability of the planet.
Kofi Kinaata is now a brand ambassador for Enterprise Life Ghana and Good Day Energy Drink. He is also a goodwill ambassador for UN’s International Organisation for Migration (IOM)
