This year’s Egyptian Super Cup was staged in Abu Dhabi for the fifth time between Zamalek and Al-Ahly at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in the United Arab of Emirates on Friday, October 28, 2022.
Although Al-Ahly emerged victors, the true stars of the match were Ghanaian event company, E-volution International, who organised the opening, half-time and closing ceremonies.
Described by many as unimaginably spectacular, the over 25,000 spectators at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium were held spellbound by the sheer brilliance, timely and cutting-edge execution of the performances. The opening ceremony paraded a well-curated cultural performance interspersed with flags display, and concluded with a riveting performance by Egyptian musician, Ahmed Saad, accompanied by a laser show.
Half-time saw yet another thrilling performance by Ahmed Saad, and right after the final whistle, the stage crew put together the set for what was to be an unforgettable closing ceremony. The lifting of the trophy was accompanied simultaneously by a blast of golden glitter confetti and fireworks.
Chief Executive Officer of E-volution International, Fred Darko, said the success of the event is an indication to the world that there are very capable organisations in Africa who can execute events to match up to standards anywhere in the world.

Fred Darko also dedicated the success of the event to the hardworking crew and all partners who contributed in whatever way to make the event happen.
