GOIL and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) have announced a partnership deal worth US$200,000 for a two-year period. A ceremony to outdoor the partnership deal that makes GOIL an official fuel partner was held in Accra.
Group CEO and Managing Director of GOIL, Hon. Kwame Osei Prempeh, expressed GOIL’s enthusiasm to support the GFA in ensuring a formidable Ghanaian football industry.
He also reiterated GOIL’s commitment to continually offering its support in promoting sports development in the country.
In agreement, the Ghana Football Association president, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, thanked GOIL for partnering the Association and described GOIL’s partnership as timely to save domestic football.
He disclosed that the agreement between GOIL and the GFA will go a long way in reviving key projects such as night-football which have long since suffered transport challenges.
The partnership deal will offer mutual benefits by assisting the GFA and local clubs to resolve their fuel difficulties, while GOIL on the other hand will benefit from brand advertising opportunities at all GFA events and on the Association’s official social media platforms.
GOIL will also be offered the right to market its products and services during selected national team matches, and organise events for promotions.
Present at the ceremony was the Board chairman of GOIL, Mr. Reginald Daniel Laryea, who welcomed the partnership as promising and beneficial to both parties.
Also present were Board members Mr. Thomas Manu, Angela Forson and Mr. John Boadu, as well as GOIL Solicitor Secretary, Nana Ama Kusi-Appouh. Executives of the Ghana Football Association were also present.
