SIC Life insurance has again demonstrated its market leadership in Ghana’s life insurance industry, by raising the stakes with regards to the customer service offered the market. The company has introduced a novel corps of Customer Service Ambassadors (CSAs) who have specifically mandated to give the company’s customers as convenient and as useful a customer experience as possible.  CSAs have been prepped and deployed across of the company’s 23 branches nationwide.

Even before this novel new initiative was unveiled SIC Life was already adjudged not just as one of the biggest and most financially solid life insurers in Ghana, but also one of the best rated in providing exemplary customer service. Indeed, the latest Customer Experience Survey conducted by an independent researcher for the company shows further improvement in its customer service.



Speaking at the unveiling of the CSAs SIC Life’s Managing Director Mr. Kwaku Appiah-Mena II observed that “This clearly shows that we are doing something right but we will not rest on our oars. We will continue to delight cherished customers by always providing a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on” he assured the gathered staff and public at the official launch of the Ambassadors.

Good customer service has put SIC Life in good stead in Ghana’s life insurance industry, which the CEO and the company itself recognize acutely and which has instructed this latest initiative which further stretches the borders of customer service in the industry. “Over the years, one of our key performance drivers has been our customers,” Kwaku Appiah-Menka II noted. “To achieve the corporate vision of being recognized as the leading and most trusted company in our industry we will all hands on deck.”

The CSAs are going into SIC’ Life’s nationwide customer base insurance base – the company has the widest reach and market penetration in the industry – guided by the company’s four core values: Customer Focus, Innovation, Team work and Integrity.

The official unveiling of the first purposely prepped CSAs in Ghana’s life insurance industry was conducted at SIC Life’s Training Centre in Accra witnessed by a gathering of senior company management executives, staff and sales agents, with the event streaming live to enable SIC Life’s entire value chain get on the same page as this novel customer service enhancement initiative.
