The Management of Ghana Exim Bank (GEXIM) has announced Tuesday, August 30, 2022 as the date for the next edition of its popular Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Fair dubbed: ‘Tuesday Market’.
The fair is scheduled to take place at the premises of the World Trade Centre in Accra between the hours of 10:00am to 6:00pm, and will witness an exhibition of authentic and quality Made-In-Ghana products.
The Chief Executive Officer of the GEXIM, Lawrence Agyinsam, indicated that ‘Tuesday Market’ was initiated to create a platform to showcase the ingenuity of the bank’s clients, as well as other producers of innovative Ghanaian made products.
“In addition to showcasing the various Made-In-Ghana products, we are using the platform to drive the campaign for Ghanaians to patronise Ghanaian made products, thereby sustaining the businesses of Ghanaian SMEs and helping to create jobs for more Ghanaians who will be able to contribute to the development of the country,” he added.
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer responsible for Banking, Rosemary Beryl Archer, highlighted the need for GEXIM to explore innovative approaches to create avenues for revenue generation for the bank’s clients, as well as other producers of Made-In-Ghana products.
“‘Tuesday Market’ provides the platform for producers of Made-In-Ghana products to sell their products to members of the general public, as well as helping to create awareness about their products. On the same day, August 30, 2022, we will be launching the GEXIM Made-In-Ghana (MIG) Town, an outlet that stocks assorted Made-In-Ghana products on the ground floor of the Africa Trade House,” she emphasised.
The GEXIM MIG Town will be opened to the general public from Mondays to Fridays between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm, and will stock products ranging from skin and beauty care to food and ingredients, leather footwear and slippers, and garment and textile. It is designed to be a one-stop shop for everything Made-In-Ghana at unbeatable prices and the highest quality.
