Some regional and national executives of First National Bank (FNB) have paid a courtesy call on the leadership of the Business and Financial Times (B&FT). Conversations centred on ways to deepen the relationship between both institutions for mutual benefit.

Delali Dzidzienyo, Marketing and Corporate Affairs – FNB Ghana, who led the team from FNB, lauded the B&FT for being a market leader when it comes to business information delivery and thought leadership events that help shape discussions, set policy in boardrooms and help place the economy on a path of progress.

“The B&FT has for the past three decades become a force to reckon with not just as a newspaper, but an institution that help in leading economic conversations through events such as the Ghana Economic Forum (GEF), The Money Summit (TMS) and Ghana’s Most Respected Breakfast Series.

We, at FNB, have been following the projects and programmes, and we are proud to sit with you today to discuss future projects and programmes and see how we move forward together for the good of Ghana and Africa,” he said.

Dr. Godwin Acquaye, CEO – B&FT, also lauded the bank for becoming a strategic player in a very competitive industry in the very short while it has been in the market.

“FNB came into the market, and through the merger with Ghana Home Loans, has become a big player in the mortgage market which we know is a big market to play in. We have a huge housing deficit and with the right products and services, FNB is doing a wonderful job in reducing such deficit,” he added.

Also present at the meeting were Cindy Akuyea Nortey, Research Analyst, B&FT; Linda Kachingwe-Sisya – Africa Marketing & Communications, Rand Merchant Bank (RMB); Mags Storom, Marketing Lead, RMB; Latif Bogobiri, Marketing Manager, B&FT; and Gwendy Laryea, Consumer Educator, FNB Ghana.
