The Paramount Chief of Buipe Traditional area, Buipe-wura Abdulai Jinapor II is urging all, especially people who hail from the Savannah Region, to throw their weight behind Miss Hariya Yussif Achone, the Savannah representative of the TV3 Ghana Most Beautiful (GMB) pageant.
Miss Hariya, a 20-year-old lady had the endorsement of the chiefs and people of the region because of her vision for the region which could contribute to national development when given the nod, and therefore, voting for her would ensure her chance of getting to the final stage to win the crown.
Buipe-wure announced this when he met with some selected media houses at his palace to discuss ways to help promote domestic tourism, as well the cultural heritage of the region. It was also to announce to the media plans made to preserve the cultural heritage of the region.
The Paramount Chief, therefore, commended TV3 for using beauty pageant to promote domestic tourism and also cultural heritage. “This would instill the spirit of patriotism among the young generation while educating them on their various culture and the history of their tribes.”
Buipe-wura Jinapor, who doubles as the Vice-President of the Savannah Regional House of chiefs, said the region has lots of domestic tourism potentials like the Gonja smock and culture, Mole National Park, Mognori Eco Village, Larabanga Mosque, among others.
He also advised the management team of Miss Hariya to help the candidate perform well in order to win the heart of supporters to vote massively for her, saying voting is very critical in the competition and that if she gets more votes, it will enable her get to the final stage of the competition.
