MTN Ghana has partnered with Mobily and STC telecommunications in Saudi Arabia to provide Ghanaian Hajj pilgrims with Pay-As-You-Go and Pay Monthly offers while they roam in Saudi Arabia for the 2022 pilgrimage.
Family and friends in Ghana can now easily connect with their loved ones while they are on pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia during this Eid-al Adha. They can also send MoMo because MTN has set up MoMo Merchant points in Saudi Arabia to provide pilgrims with access to fast, secure and convenient money transfer services.
Prior to the departure of the pilgrims from Ghana, MTN Ghana also supported the National Hajj Board with a donation of high-end mobile phones worth GH¢62,000, Airtime worth GH¢15,000 and MTN souvenirs to facilitate the work of the National Hajj Board.
Speaking during the presentation to the National Hajj Board, Abdul-Majeed Rufai, Senior Manager for Mobile Money Limited Commercial, reiterated MTN’s commitment to supporting the Muslim community in Ghana. He said: “The presentation of the items is a token from MTN to aid in the organisation of the annual pilgrimage in keeping with our commitment to supporting the Muslim community in Ghana.”
Mr. Rufai expressed MTN’s gratitude to the National Hajj Board for partnering with MTN over the past years to develop meaningful offers for pilgrims travelling to Mecca.
Alhaji Mustapha, a representative of the National Hajj Board Chairman, expressed his appreciation to Management of MTN for supporting the Muslim community in diverse ways.
