Lashibi-based Ahotor 92.3 FM, in collaboration with Last Result Homeopathic Clinic, celebrates fathers with free health screening.
Dad. Daddy. Dada. Poppy. Papa. Pa. Father. Agya. Daa… There are so many different names to call the man who raised us. Yet, no matter what term of endearment we use to address our dads, we celebrate them all on the third Sunday of every June – Father’s Day!
Father’s Day is celebrated worldwide to recognise the contribution that fathers and father figures make to the lives of their children. This day celebrates fatherhood and male parenting. Although it is celebrated on a variety of dates worldwide, many countries observe this day on the third Sunday in June.
Ahotor 92.3 FM celebrated this year’s Father’s Day with a programme dubbed: ‘Agya Pa Ye Na’, where callers were given the chance to win prizes for their fathers. Winners got the chance to have a good time with their fathers at the Empire Event and Resort Centre located at Gbetsile in the Tema Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
The celebration was spiced with a free health screening for some Ghanaians at the forecourt of Ahotor 92.3 FM. Ahotor FM, in collaboration with Last Result Homeopathic Clinic, checked the blood pressure, sugar levels, among others, for the listeners who came for the free health screening. The participants said a big thanks to Ahotor FM and Last Result Homeopathic Clinic for such an initiative, and called for more to come.
Dr. Angel Janice Asafo-Agyei from Last Result Homeopathic Clinic was impressed with the turn up for the health screening. Winners of the ‘Agya Pa Ye Na’ promotion also praised the management and staff of Ahotor 92.3 FM for the opportunity.
