Insurance Brokers Association of Ghana (IBAG) has promoted Reverend Jason Atike as Chief Executive Officer of the Association. He has been serving as Administrative Secretary since 2012. Reverend Jason Atike joined (IBAG) in 2012 as the assistant to the then Administrative Secretary, and in less than two years, he was elevated to the position of Administrative Secretary to take over from his retired boss as Head of the Secretariats.
BRIEF PROFILE OF REVEREND JASON ATIKE
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Accra Business School. He is a Diploma holder from the Chartered Institute of Insurance from the United Kingdom.
Jason has vast expertise in Business Administration and Project Management, with the agility of achieving remarkable results under pressurised, challenging and unsupervised conditions. He has been chiefly involved in major achievements of the association, particularly the organisation of trainings, anniversary celebrations and conferences, the promulgation of the association’s new constitution, rebranding of the association, providing advocacy and timely compliance support to member-companies of IBAG, and growing the fortunes of the association.
Jason is an author of a number of publications, including the AIO award-winning book entitled, ‘The Insurance Broker’s passport: Manual on Insurance Broking practice in Ghana’. He has attended several workshops, seminars and conference including AIO, WAICA, IBAG and CIIG conferences, a course on Projects and Programme Management at GIMPA, training on Budgeting and Costing of Services, etc.
Apart from serving on the Executive Council and all Committees of IBAG, Rev. Atike has served and continues to serve on other industry committees, such as the Insurance Awareness Coordinators Group (IACG), Editorial and Publicity Committee of the CIIG, the local organisation committees of the Association of Insurers and Reinsurers of Developing Countries (AIRDC), as well as that of the West Insurance Companies Association (WAICA).
He is a devout Christian, a pastor of the International Charismatic Church (ICC), and married to Mrs. Mabel Abla Atike. He is the founder of Love-In-Motion (LIM) Foundation, a non-profit organisation that minsters to the spiritual and physical needs of prison inmates. He loves reading, writing and graphic designing.
