The Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA) has donated 100 branded bedsheets and toiletries as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital in the Central Region to help run its operations.
The items were delivered to Mrs. Sophia Blankson, Director of Nursing Services at the health facility, on Thursday 31st March, 2022 by the Takoradi Branch Manager, Mrs. Agnes Asamoah-Duku.
Donating the items on behalf of the Board and Management of GSA, Mrs. Asamoah-Duku emphasised the importance GSA places on supporting health facilities – noting that similar donations were done by the Kumasi and Tema branches.
“It is good to give back to society, and the GSA has made it a point to give back to help make life a bit more comfortable for others. We are trusting that personnel and patients at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital will enjoy some comfort,” Mrs. Asamoah-Duku said.
Receiving the items on behalf of Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, Mrs. Sophia Blankson thanked the Ghana Shippers’ Authority for the timely donation. She commended the GSA’s commitment in giving back to society, and intimated that the hospital will welcome similar support in the future.
