Executives of Mohinani Group pay courtesy call on Dakoa Newman

A selection of top managers from Mohinani Group – a leading family-owned business conglomerate headquartered in Accra – has paid a courtesy on the Member of Parliament for Okaikwei South Constituency, Dakoa Newman.

The visit’s objective was to introduce the Group to the MP and discuss avenues by which the company can be of greater help to the community.

Leading the Executives was Roshan Mohinani, Director of Business Development for the Group. After initial introductions, the deliberations moved on to challenges within the Okaikwei South Constituency. The MP provided an idea of the projects she needs assistance with within the constituency, while Mr. Mohinani assured the MP of the Group’s help – especially in the intervention areas of Sanitation and Environmental Protection, Health and Education.

Other Executives of the Group present at the meeting were Frank Mickson-Yeboah, Group Marketing Manager, and Asiwome Amegbletor, Group HR Manager. Also at the event was J. N. Halm, Corporate Communications Consultant for the Group.

The Mohinani Group started as far back as 1966, when a young Indian immigrant named Ramchand Mohinani started the PolyProducts Company Limited. The Group has grown since its humble beginning to become one of Ghana’s most successful business groups. Companies within the Group include Polytank, Somotex and Electromart, Somoco and Masco Foods – franchise holders for KFC in Ghana.
