Wiggly Piddly – an ultra-modern kids playhouse has opened its doors in the Oyarifa Mall, providing an exciting place of recreation for children in Accra.
Situated on the 1st Floor of the mall complex, the facility boasts of slides, a ball pool, swings, a rock-climbing wall, a trampoline and a jungle gym.
The site proved extremely popular with parents during the recent holidays, many of whom indicated approval at the strict COVID-19 protocols as well as other health & safety protocols.
The Northern suburbs of Accra include Haatso, Oyarifa, Amrahia, Ayi Mensah, Danfa and Frafraha. Initially, rural settlements were on the fringes of the city and these settlements have now become significant parts of the Greater Accra conurbation.
These suburbs are ‘dormitory’ suburbs as workers typically commute from here to work daily.
Due to the speed of development, many of these suburbs do not have the social and recreational facilities in other parts of the city, including play areas for children. Wiggly Piddly’s establishment comes at an opportune time for the thousands of families in the area to seek places of fun for their children.
Madam Jessica Agyei, a resident of Regimanuel Estates noted “This facility comes at the right time for us. Previously we had to take our children to Spintex for them to have playtime on trampolines and swings, but with this opening right here in Oyarifa, we can save on transport and have fun longer. Wiggly Piddly is also so much more affordable at the same quality.”
Miss Ekua Yankah, marketing consultant for Wiggly Piddly said “2022 will be our pioneer full year of operation. We have loads of exciting programs coming up for the kids including an Easter Egg Hunt, a visit by Disney clubhouse stars and so much more. We are very careful to ensure parents get the most for their cedis, and thus have a reward scheme in place for our regular patrons”.
Wiggly Piddly Playhouse can be found in the Oyarifa Mall, off the N4 Accra- Aburi Highway, just before the Ayi Mensah Police station.
