Cynthia Lumor appointed as Tullow’s first deputy managing director

Tullow Ghana has appointed Mrs. Cynthia Lumor Deputy Managing Director, effective 1st October 2021.

Cynthia Lumor joined Tullow Ghana in October 2017.

As the Deputy Managing Director, she will have responsibility for integrating non-technical functions within the Ghana business.



Prior to this appointment, Ms. Lumor was the Corporate Affairs Director overseeing the Communications & Investor Relations, Social Performance, Government, Public and External Affairs teams.

Cynthia joined Tullow Ghana from Scancom (MTN Ghana), where she was Head of Corporate Services responsible for Regulatory Compliance, Communications, Legal and External Affairs/Sustainability.

Prior to MTN Ghana she was the Information Specialist for AT&T – an American telecommunications conglomerate in the United States, and over an 18-year period rose to become Director in charge of the Research and Analysis Department. Cynthia also worked at GNPC as a Senior Legal Officer, where within a year she rose to become Head of the Department.

She was involved in drafting the Petroleum Law that created the structure and legal framework for an independent regulator and the Oil and Gas industry.

Ms. Lumor holds an LLB (Hons) from University of Ghana and a practicing certificate from the Ghana School of Law. She is a mother of three.
