The 3rd edition of the Health Environment Safety & Security Awards 2021 comes off this Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra, at 6pm.

The HESS Awards purpose, among others, is to create awareness, raise the bar of excellence, showcase success and encourage organisations to adopt and uphold the highest standards of HSSE management and practice – while striving for continuous improvement and excellence within their organisations at all times.

The aim of the awards is also to advocate for businesses in Ghana to no longer put in place Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) initiatives as a matter of compliance but as means to build a more resilient workspace and workforce as they journey to recovery from effects of the pandemic.

The Awards are themed ‘Building a resilient workspace post-COVID-19; The role of HSSE initiatives’.

The Awards bring together professionals from the various industries, and will serve as a platform to publicly recognise and celebrate companies for their exceptional performance and innovations focused on Occupational Health, Safety, Security and the Environment.

The Awards recognise achievements from local and international companies which have been successful over the course of the year in managing the risks of workplace development and their Health, Safety, Security & Environment performance, besides doing ethical business.

This year’s edition has received nominations from over forty companies in various industry sectors across the country. These companies comprise both local and international brands.

“We see ourselves as helping push the boundaries of what companies can do to help the nation rebuild its economy, while ensuring they build a more resilient workspace to protect the future of work, their employees, and the environment,” a statement from the organiser said.

The HESS Awards are powered by Ianmatsun Global Services Ltd. in partnership with Hegemony Consulting, a leading research company in Ghana.
