An old student of Kumasi Anglican Senior High School in the Kumasi Metropolis, Kwame Opoku Sarkodie who completed in 1983 and is based in the United States, has donated ten brand-new laptops to the school’s ICT centre.

Last year, Mr. Opoku Sarkodie donated a brand new laptop to the overall best student of the school

The laptops worth about US$7,700 were presented to the school in order to enhance the teaching and learning of ICT.

The school’s ICT centre was not adequately resourced, which affected the effectiveness of teaching and learning in ICT for teachers and students, with a school population of over 4,000 made up of 60% boys and 40% girls.

The donor visited the school last year and pledged to support its ICT centre with computers and other accessories to help effective teaching and learning of ICT.

The Headmaster, Rev. Canon Francis Sencherey who received the computers on behalf of the school, expressed his profound appreciation and promised to put the laptops to good use.

He called on old students of the school to emulate the Opoku Sarkodie’s example by supporting their alma mater in diverse ways.
