The Sintex Group of Companies is not only interested in producing quality and affordable products for the good people of Ghana and beyond, but is also concerned with the well-being of individuals as well providing such products.
In line with making sure that their products are safe, harm-free and environmentally friendly as well executing corporate social responsibilities, Sintex Group has consistently and reliably provided for society since it started operations in Ghana.
The notable recent donations are those the company made to the Rebecca Foundation, when the team that represented the company were led by the Executive Directors and marketing manager to present 1,000 relief boxes of items containing edibles such as rice, cooking oil, milk, sugar and canned tomatoes among other items distributed among the most vulnerable individuals who fall in line with the foundation.
A strategist of the foundation, Mrs. Sheila Sakyi Oppong who received the items on behalf of the Foundation, expressed how grateful they are to the Group for coming to their aid in times like this.
“The foundation is ready to support the most affected communities in Greater Accra, Tema, Kasoa and Greater Kumasi anytime, and we anticipate that people will emulate your kind contribution and help us champion that cause,” Mrs. Sakyi Oppong stated.
The current pandemic, which has engulfed the globe and brought it to a standstill as far as economic productivity is concerned, has drawn attention for various governmental stakeholders and institutions to come out with stringent but practicable policies that will enhance preventive measures in a more efficient manner.
For this matter, government called on individuals, stakeholders and companies – both private and public – to offer any form of contribution that will help fight the deadly virus.
As a responsive company, Sintex Group of Companies responded to the call of government and contributed one hundred thousand Ghana cedis to the COVID-19 National Trust Fund to support the execution of their mandate of mitigating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the needy and vulnerable in the country.
The cheque was presented on behalf of the Sintex Group of Companies by its Chairman Mr. Ashok Budhrani, and the Managing Director, Mr. Manoj Budhrani, by a group of management from the Sintex Group of Companies – Mr. Isaac Addo Asare, marketing manager; and Mr. karan Budhrani, Executive Director, at a brief ceremony held at the trust fund’s office.
A brief remark noted by Mr. Addo Asare said the management of Sintex Group of Companies is indeed happy about the measures put in place by government to curb the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 within the nation. He again stated that the donation of GH¢100,000 is a sign to exemplify the company’s corporate social responsibility.
“We are very much impressed with the tactical measures the government of Ghana has put in to prevent spread of the virus, and we urge the general public to adhere to protocols and also encourage other corporate institutions to support the fund,” Mr. Addo Asare added.
Trustee of the Fund
A registered appreciation was made by a trustee of the fund, Archbishop Justice Offei Akrofi, who is a member of the board of trustees for the COVID-19 National Trust Fund and received the donation on behalf of the fund and government of the people of Ghana.
“This is what we always expect private organisations to exhibit in times like this, so that society will recognise them as responsible in all aspects and not only making profit alone. For our Holy Bible says that when you give to the needy, you shall receive multiples of blessings always,” Archbishop Offei Akrofi added.
He assured the team of management from Sintex Group of Companies that the donation will be put to proper use for the purpose and benefit of the needy and vulnerable in society.
