GUBA Tours, in collaboration with The Bridgezone, has launched its second edition of the GUBA Cruise to Akosombo. Scheduled for Sunday, January 3, 2021, it is expected to be an entertainment packed day trip from Accra to Akosombo.
The day commences with a visit to the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary. The monkey sanctuary is a nature reserve known for its inhabitants of monkeys, unique birds and butterflies. The guests will get the chance to feed and interact with the wildlife, whilst learning about the history of the sanctuary.
A visit to the Akwamu Castle subsequently, will provide guests with a taste of culture. The visit will serve as an opportunity to interact with the King of Akwamu- Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III and learn the rich culture and history of Akwamu.
The highlight of the day comes after the visit to these monumental sites as guests board the Dodi Princess boat, to commence the cruise. The Dodi Princess is Ghana’s first destination experience offering a unique package of adventure, entertainment, history and education on the beautiful banks of the Volta River in Akosombo. On board the cruise will be a lunch buffet of delicious and authentic Ghanaian dishes coupled with live music and beautiful sights. The cruise is set to be a memorable and once in a life time experience.

The first edition of the cruise took place in January 2020 amidst the ‘Year of Return’ celebrations. The cruise welcomed many guests from all over the world and the success of it, led to its re-introduction for a second time. The 2021 edition of the GUBA cruise is expected to exceed expectations.
