Government, in its effort to mitigate against the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic on citizens, has decided to extend incentives given to health workers.
The President, Nana Akufo-Addo announced this during his 19th address to the nation on the pandemic, Sunday evening.
“I am happy to announce that the incentive package for health workers has been extended to the end of the year,” said.
This means that all health workers will pay no income taxes for the months of October, November and December.
“Again, all frontline health workers, as defined by the Ministry of Health will continue to receive the additional allowance of 50 percent of their basic salaries per month for the month of October, November and December,” the President said.
