Toyota Ghana Company Ltd has opened an operational facility in Tamale, the Northern regional capital to serve customers within the sector. This is the company’s 8th branch in the country. The office is to give the customers within Tamale and its surroundings the opportunity to join the Toyota family for quality service and products.
Speaking at the ceremony in Tamale, the Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed, thanked the company for extending their facility to the region saying it would help reduce the stress customers go through in accessing parts for their vehicles as well quality vehicles for their activities.
“I am delighted the stress would be reduced after the opening of the facility for operations. This is because customers are mostly compelled to drive long distance to either Kumasi or Accra for service or purchase some spare parts from the company,” he said.
“It is our expectations that the facility commissioned would achieve its intended purpose and bring greater satisfaction to customers thereby creating more opportunities for development in the region,” he said.
Managing Director of Toyota Ghana, Takuya Kajiura, said, the branch opening follows a promise to the customers of converting the liaison office into a warehouse when the facility was opened in 2014.
“With the approval of both local and government authorizing agencies, we have managed to construct a facility that would provide vehicle and spare parts sales to customers within the Northern enclave of Ghana,” he said.
He stressed that the company had continuously embarked on infrastructure expansion over the past 20 years adding that with a well-stock spare parts shop and elegant showroom always displaying varieties of Toyota models, customers are assured of professional attention and excellent automobile consultancy services.
Toyota, as part of the activities earmarked for the activities, donated medical equipment worth GH¢15,000 to the Tamale West Hospital. The items included 2-suction machines, 2-oxygene concentrators, and 5-digital thermometer guns to help improve quality healthcare delivering to save lives.
“In addition to our core functions as an automobile company, we are socially responsible for the wellbeing of the communities we transact business and we committed to providing resources to support the health, education, environment and road safety of the region periodically,” he said.
