Hospitality Professionals Network Ghana to launch tomorrow

The long awaited Hospitality Professional Network Ghana (HPNG),a non-profit development focused organization set up within the hospitality industry in Ghana is set to hold a virtual launch on September 29, 2020 at 6:00pm GMT via  video conferencing platform, Zoom.

The launch will feature prominent persons in the hospitality industry. The speakers for the occasion among other special invited guests include Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, CEO, Ghana Tourism Authority, Mr. John Addo Kufuor, CEO, Airport West Hospitality and Ms. Jeanne Donkoh – CEO, Bioko Treats

The Hospitality Professionals Network Ghana (HPNG) is the official network for hospitality professionals focused on promoting education, essential connections, advocacy and support.



The network aims to create an environment that will offer support to all levels of the professional pyramid and seeks to actively promote capacity building as well as the career growth of its members.

With the vision of being an association that offers professional enhancement to the human capital within Ghana’s hospitality industry, the network is committed to fostering a coordinated front for professionals in the hospitality industry.

According to Madam Rosalin Abigail Kyereh-Nartey, the formation of the HPNG network has come at an opportune time and will provide a platform for policy discussions and advocacy within the industry by addressing industry issues in Ghana and projecting the role of the hospitality industry as a contributor to employment creation and sustainable economic development.

Touching on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the industry, she noted that globally, the hospitality industry has suffered immensely during the Covid-19 pandemic, with Ghana’s industry being no exception. “A selection of the industry professionals is working to jump-start life towards local recovery and boosting confidence. These visionaries have been working for months to drive focus on bringing professionals and teams in the local industry together to showcase best practice, thought leadership while offering mentorship and support.”

Madam Kyereh-Nartey again noted that the HPNG is also geared towards supporting, empowering, and creating a safe haven for all hospitality professionals through developmental initiatives and advocacy on the betterment of Ghana’s hospitality industry by providing hospitality professionals with tools, insights, and expertise to fuel career growth, inspire continuous personal development, and optimize opportunities.

She encouraged individual hospitality professionals, employers with thriving hospitality businesses and future hospitality professional aspirants to join the network.
