The West African Insurance Companies Association (WAICA) will be holding a stakeholders’ conference via webinar (virtual) on Wednesday September 30, 2020 at 10am.
The WAICA secretariat therefore indicated in a memo sent to all stakeholders that: “There is no gainsaying that we have all been seriously affected by impacts of COVID-19, some more seriously than others, and we cannot continue to live as we have been doing in the last several months. As such, after this lull in our operations we have recalibrated and repositioned ourselves to make progress, grow and develop”.
In light of this, WAICA will be having a webinar conference under the topic ‘Repositioning the Insurance Industry in West Africa for Growth and Development – Post-COVID-19’.
William Coker, Secretary General – WAICA Secretariat, has therefore announced that the bodies have been able to secure the presence of two eminent persons to discuss the topic with the association: they are Sunday Thomas, Commissioner of Insurance – Nigeria (NAICON); and Mrs. Lena Adu-Kofi, CEO of Safety Insurance Brokers Ghana, and President, Insurance Brokers Association of Ghana (IBAG).
