A member of self-acclaimed Dancehall King and Multiple Awards Winner, Shatta Wale’s fan base, popularly known as Shatta Movement, has emerged winner of the first Asaase Radio Sound Clash grand prize.
The die-hard SM fan and Real Estate Developer by name Patrick Mensah Nartey, was presented with a brand new Mahindra 4X4 car, at the forecourt of Asaase Radio in Cantonment for emerging as the individual who voted the most during the challenge that took place between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
Speaking to the media after receiving his car, Mr. Mensah expressed his overwhelming joy for being declared winner and indicated that the victory was a conscious effort and a calculated one of course to grab the car.
He indicated that he bought votes worth GH¢24,000 to emerge the winner and the motive was to ensure that his boss Shatta Wale walks away as the winner of the clash.
“I trusted the system to deliver accurate results because Asaase Radio is new in the media landscape but have been very transparent and honest with their programmes and activities. So, we Shatta Movement fans trusted the system and that encouraged us to vote and ensure our king Shatta Wale wins the clash,” he said.
In addition, he emphasised that he is an expert in such vote and win systems as he has previous won about five of such promotions spanning from Airtel, Samsung, Vodafone, and even IFC in New-York America, among others.
Razak Kojo Opoku, of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) stated that the NLA was involved in the process to scrutinize and monitor to ensure that whoever is awarded the prize is indeed the true winner. “We did due diligence to validate and authenticate the results that was presented and we congratulate the winner,” he said.
The Asaase Radio Sound Clash challenge took place over the weekend between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, and per the arrangement outlined by organisers of the programme, the person who buys the highest votes or voted the most for his icon will be awarded a brand new car.
The car was donated by Asaase Radio in partnership with the Svani Group Limited, the sole importer and distributor of Mahindra vehicles as well as the largest distributor of Toyota Land Cruisers and Ford vehicles in Ghana.
The management of Asaase Radio congratulated the winner, Patrick Mensah for winning the car and also congratulated Shatta Wale and his SM Family for winning the Asaase Sound Clash.
