Dr. Edith Dankwa, CEO of the Business and Financial Times Limited (B&FT), the leading provider of business information, is the next guest on inspiring youth development radio programme, YLeaderboard on YFM tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26, at 10am.
The radio programme, which is a YFM innovative initiative, seeks to bring leaders and achievers in various sectors and industries in Ghana and beyond onto the platform to give hope and meaning to development and provide leadership coaching tips to the vibrant youth viewing life with uncertainty.
Dr. Dankwa, who also manages the Business Times Africa Magazine (BT) and Energy Today Magazine (ET) is known for rendering business advisory services and has served on many boards including International Chamber of Commerce (ICC-Ghana) and TV3, one of Ghana’s biggest private television station.
The many leadership hats she wears further include founding member of the Executive Women Network (EWN), chairperson of the African Business Leaders Foundation (ABLF) and the president of the Institute for Development and Policy (IDP) among others.
Over the years, Dr Dankwa’s immense contribution to development, leadership and building brands has been recognised by industry players with many awards and honours among which are ‘Best Print Media Entrepreneur’ by the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana, in the year 2011 and as one of the 100 Most Influential Personalities in Ghana for 2013, by eTV Ghana.
Dr Dankwa, who has played a significant role in the development of the media landscape in the country, especially private print media, is highly learned with many educational certificates. Top among her educational qualifications include Doctoral degree in Business Administration (International Business) from the Walden University in the USA; Executive MBA from the GIMPA Business School; Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana and a Post Graduate Certificate in Newspaper Management from Inwent International Institute of Journalism, Germany.
She obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management Studies from the University of Cape Coast, and currently a fellow of the Institute of Certified Economist of Ghana.
Heading onto the show with such vast business and leadership experience/background, it is the expectation of the ardent youth listeners of the programme to learn from her contribution to national development and pragmatic approach to building a solid self-identity as well as brand positioning among others.
On the show, Dr Dankwa will be sharing her experience growing up and educational challenges, family and career life as well as leadership among other thought provoking development concepts.
